Peroxide bleaching agents are used in different concentrations to whiten the shade of your teeth. Generally the percentage of peroxide ranges from 3-20% in At-home bleaching agents and 15-43% in In-office based bleaching agents. Higher the concentration of bleaching agent, lower is the duration of application.
IN-OFFICE BASED BLEACHING
This is most widely preferred because of the duration in which it imparts the results. A single 30-40 minutes appointment is all you need to get your teeth lighter by 3-8 shades. Hydrogen peroxide and carbamide peroxide are typically used. Combination of heat and light are used to speed and intensify the whitening process.
Instant results can be achieved if you have an event or a meeting planned within short notice.
The results are lasting, with recommended home maintenance follow-up with lower percentage bleach that can be kept on teeth for longer periods of time.
